This film is a satirical take on what it means to define womanhood, exploring the lengths one takes to silence the female voice, and how difficult it may be to find it once again.
"Two Ants"
2023
‘Two Ants’ is a satirical commentary made by a collection of collaborating animators named "Lavender House" that follows two ants on a night out. The film highlights the hypocrisy of men’s attitudes towards women through the exploration of toxic masculinity and misogynistic ‘pub talk’.
Inspired by the festival "Cardiff Anim fest 2023"'s prompt, ‘Mini’, highlighting that despite how toxic masculinity can inflate someone’s self importance, these attitudes still make people very ‘small’.
"The Pursuit of Flesh"
2022
An old man who, after waking up and forgetting his wife's appearance, tries to recreate her. This is a film that explores the importance of memories and the lengths some may go to keep hold of them, often forgetting that sometimes memories don't have to be a perfect image, but just a feeling can be enough.
